When I visited their rooms, at peak performance time, the noise was no where near the level in our room. The even funnier (odd, not humorous) part was that my dad, and cousins were on lower floors and were all given ear plugs on their bed side, and warned of the noise. The first night my husband and I were litterally laughing at how loud it was, as it was forcing us to almost scream at each other in order to hear each other talk. Now given that we were getting to our room close to 2am in the morning, we didn't have to listen to it for too long. Now I'm not one to complain, but the noise level on Fri and Sat nights from the band that was performing on Fremont Street was extremely loud. Our room, which was a junior suite, which we upgraded from a standard room upon arrival, was on the 15th floor and our window looked out over the Fremont Street Experience. For the price, all was good with one exception.
They apparently have refurbished their rooms. This year most of us stayed at the Plaza since the price was right and the location was great. We do a family trip every year in Vegas, when about 20-30 of us meet up for the weekend.
